Simply SEND
(1:1 Support)

Practical guidance for families navigating SEND
Trying to understand the SEND system can feel overwhelming.
Whether you're concerned about your child's development, struggling to get the right support in school, preparing for meetings or trying to understand what happens next, it's not always easy to know where to start.
Simply SEND provides one to one support for parents and carers who need guidance, reassurance and practical help navigating the SEND journey.
You don't need a diagnosis.
You don't need professional involvement.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You just need somewhere to start.
What we can help with
Every family's situation is different, but support may include:
- Understanding SEND processes and pathways
- Preparing for meetings with schools or professionals
- Making sense of reports, assessments and paperwork
- Understanding support available within schools
- Exploring concerns around development, communication, behaviour or learning
- Building confidence to advocate for your child
- Signposting to appropriate services and support
Our role is not to tell families what to do.
Our role is to help you understand your options and feel more confident in the decisions you make.
What to expect
The Unfiltered Parent Circle is open to all parents, carers and family members.
You do not need a diagnosis, referral or professional involvement to attend.
Whether you're seeking support, connection, information or simply a place where you can be yourself, we'd love to welcome you.
Why we created it
Simply SEND sessions are relaxed, supportive and tailored to your family's circumstances.
We take time to listen, understand your concerns and explore what support may be helpful.
There is no judgement, no jargon and no expectation that you already understand how everything works.
Many parents tell us that having somebody listen, explain things clearly and help them make a plan is often the most valuable part of the process.
Who is it for?
Simply SEND is open to parents and carers of children and young people who may have additional needs or who are experiencing challenges relating to education, communication, learning, behaviour, wellbeing or development.
You do not need a diagnosis or referral to access support.
Whether you're at the beginning of your journey or trying to make sense of the next steps, we're here to help.
Why We Created It
Too many families tell us they feel overwhelmed by systems that were designed to support them.
They spend hours searching for information, trying to understand processes and worrying about whether they are doing the right thing for their child.
We created Simply SEND because families deserve access to clear, compassionate support from someone who understands both the systems they are navigating and the emotions that often come with them.
Sometimes what people need most is not another report or referral.
It's somebody who will listen, explain things clearly and help them take the next step with confidence.
